Account Coordinator

Your mission?  Serve as the product expert for HubExpress, a service based on outreach designed to help patients get the medications they need to live healthy lives. By educating and removing barriers, these key team members ensure that CoverMyMeds' service, and the prior authorization process in general, is hassle-free. We strive to wow our users by providing knowledgeable, friendly, and quick resolution to prior authorization-related scenarios.

What You'll Do

HubExpress Coordinators work on the front line of Support to ensure a successful prior authorization submission takes place. A prior authorization is a request submitted by a patient’s prescriber to the patient’s insurance plan to request coverage of costs for a particular medication. These Coordinators are equipped to handle real-time questions throughout the prior authorization process, including working closely with pharmacies, prescribers, and payers.

  • Provide exceptional outbound support primarily through phone interaction in an effort to help facilitate the prior authorization submission process.
  • Understand the prior authorization process, including electronic prior authorization, and the CoverMyMeds platform. Demonstrate a working knowledge to resolve barriers to healthcare professionals in completing these requests.
  • Collaborate with three key players – pharmacies, prescibers, and prescription insurance plans – to learn of status updates and ultimately expedite the dispensing of a patient’s medication. This is done by proactively providing these updates to the appropriate parties.
  • Think criticially and creatively to analyze case-by-case situations to assist in rescuing prior authorizations that otherwise could be abandoned.
  • Troubleshoot issues by working with different teams within the company
  • Deliver feedback and suggestions to streamline efficiency within the Hubble application.
  • Communicate prior authorization updates directly to clients, utilizing strong business writing skills.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the benefits of submitting prior authorization requests and appeals, when applicable.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solver
  • Eager to learn about healthcare technology and gain personal and professional growth
  • Record of success in customer service; experience in healthcare or a knowledge of the prior authorization process is a plus
  • Adaptable and able to work a flexible, yet consistent schedule to help support our users during our hours of operation (Monday - Friday: 8AM EST - 11PM EST, Saturday: 8AM EST - 6PM EST).   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
